9. Place Mats
As humans, we are used to eating at the table with the dinner plate placed nicely on a beautiful place mat. For dogs, this is hardly the case. When a dog eats from its dish, naturally crumbs and food are left behind (even though we think they clean it all up). These little pieces and crumbs left behind attract pests and other unwanted household critters, which is why staying on top of the dog’s mess is important. Just as we do at the dinner table, consider placing a place mat under your dog’s food dish and clean it regularly. The mat should hold the crumbs left behind from your dog and it will help keep your floors clean as well.
